He will be first eligible for parole on September 14, 2020.
News (4-3-2011)- "Parole plea by child molester rejected"- Convicted child molester Denis Allen has been refused parole for the second time in two years.
He was sentenced in the District Court on February 11, 2009.
On the sexual intercourse charge he was sentenced to 14 years with a non-parole period of 10 years.
The 76-year-old was sentenced to a maximum 14 years in prison in November 2000 for a string of serious sex crimes involving 11 boys.
He was sentenced to a further three years behind bars, to be served concurrently, in 2002 after he pleaded guilty to fresh allegations involving a nine-year-old boy and a 10-year-old boy.
Given the kidnapping sentence was to be served concurrently with the sexual intercourse sentence, the change effectively makes no difference to the amount of time Allen will spend in jail.
